VACANCY BAWDESWELL PARISH COUNCILLOR

As no request for election was received following the resignation of David Shannon, Bawdeswell Parish Council will seek to fill this position by co-option at the meeting of the Council to be held on

Thursday 4th May 2017 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.

Should more than one application be received for the vacancy,councillors will decide the appointment by a vote, or series of votes, in order to obtain a majority decision.

To be considered for co-option, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  1. Be registered as a Local Government Elector for the Parish on the current Electoral Register.
  2. Has during the whole of the previous 12months occupied as tenant or owner any land or other premises in the Parish.
  3. Has had his/her principal or only place of work in the previous 12 months in the Parish of Bawdeswell.
  4. Has resided either in the Parish or within 3 miles thereof during the  previous 12 months.

Anyone wishing to be considered for co-option should contact the Clerk to the Council, in writing to White House, Pettywell, Reepham, NR10 4RN or by e-mail to:bawdeswellpc@hotmail.com by midday on 28th April 2017.

Next Meeting of the Parish Council

Bawdeswell Parish Council Meeting

The next meeting of Bawdeswell Parish Council will be held on Thursday 4th May 2017 staring at 7.30pm in the Church. This will be the Annual Parish Council Meeting.

The Annual Parish Meeting will be held at 7pm on Thursday 4th May in the Church and is an opportunity for residents to come and meet the Council and put forward any concerns that they might have.

Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Parish Council for the village of Bawdeswell, which lies about half-way between Norwich and Fakenham.

Bawdeswell is in the Upper Wensum ward of Breckland District, in the Elmham and Mattishall division of the County of Norfolk and in the Mid Norfolk parliamentary constituency.
